imagine neverland

If she had a parent,
would she allow her way?
If she had a place,
would she be content to stray?
A child-like Peter Pan
in his Never-Never,
Neverland.

With no guidance,
the dreams remain unrealized.
Those imaginary ambitions are
hoping to be true.
It still would have
materialize
regardless of you.

You may hold the roots.
You may bear the beginning.
You may have provided,
But how much was it guided?
You dragged the unearned credit
deep into hiding.

There was never a script,
a guidebook to follow.
Left with assumptions
perceived in their constructed
child-like land with Mr. Pan
A place comes into fruition
by the minds
of the visionaries.

The easiest pill
to swallow,
a parent to be had,
the architect of innocence,
escaped with Peter Pan.
